I woke up this morning with this word on my brain or in my spirit for the more spiritual. I really don’t believe I have ever used this word or a derivative either, but certainly heard of it. After a little research I realized why I was drawn to this subject.
Ambiguity is the condition of something that can be interpreted and or understood in more than one way! A lot of our perceptions and preferences, are formed based upon how we view things. So the clear thought is rather ambiguous…
“Things are not always as they seem or are they?” Its a contrast I think between the flesh and spirit, or thoughts and intents, religious or spiritual, or even the diverse opinions of the Republicans and Democrats! Everything is viewed and perceived based upon a belief system. And then that perception that is created will eventually become our ‘Truth’. I believe in living out your truth, and that knowing ‘the’ truth can and will make you free. It is just over the years in my journey I find a lot of people who say they live by truths, but have never really made them personal life-giving ways of living.
Most people’s truth that I find is just a good idea, or something I vote for etc. But to have to face the reality of the truth, tested by trial is the only real truth we have! I love the quote I saw on a T-shirt a few years back, ‘Two things I know as TRUTH – There is a God ~ And you Are NOT HIM!
So as I try to figure out the irony of the ambiguous reality, I am reminded of St Paul in 2 Corinthians 4:18, that says the natural eye sees life that is subject to change, while the spiritual eye sees life differently. So you can view things, situations, life etc from a natural perspective or from the mind’s eye. I’m pursuing the path that chooses the latter. Everything that I can See can and will be subject to change!….
