I have been on a journey to find the Real me for quite sometime now. This last year was very unique in that part of the journey. I have learned more about God and myself than probably in the last 5 years all put together. I was set free from the ‘system’ about 10 years ago. It was then that I actually began to learn and discover the ancient mysteries. I feel more focused now than ever about what this whole journey is all about! It’s about manifesting the Divine Identity, and revealing the Christ consciousness to humanity.
During the last few years, I have been blessed and honored to have some wonderful people in my life to help guide, teach, inspire, and cheer me on. I have learned to glean truth from my experiences, revivalists, prophetic, apostolic, Kingdom, and many others. We have had teachers and mentors all along the way. We have some very successful people in marketplace, church, and Kingdom that have really poured into our lives. I have business mentors as well as a couple of life coaches as well. I was listening to a conference call from a great woman, Crystal Andrus, she is an amazing life coach and motivator.
While on this particular call that night I heard her say, “What are the five words that describe you?” I have to admit, it made so much sense and certainly wasnt an easy task to figure out. It has taken me a couple of months to try to formulate who I am in 5 descriptive words. Crystal also told us that night that everything we did from this point on in our business, and life should somehow reflect the core five words. This she said, was being true to your true self and core values. Some five months later I concur that it is one of the most important ideas that I have heard in a long while.
We have been trying over the years to help people discover their purpose and destiny. In this train of thought I somehow believe we have gotten the proverbial carriage before the horse! I truly believe we all have such a divine purpose in this life, and a destiny; but it is going to be hard to discover without first knowing WHO YOU ARE!!! If we don’t first discover who we are at the core, then we will be doomed to become ‘Human Doings’ instead of ‘Human Beings’. When we discover our true Divine Identity, then the purpose and destiny will unfold naturally / supernatural.
Last month my Bishop met me for breakfast in Oklahoma City. Almost immediately the first thing he said to me was, ‘Who is Mark Marshall?’ I have to tell you I was really taken back by this because twenty minutes earlier I was just discussing this very subject with my Father in law. I was telling him what I had been learning over the last few months about Identity, and my father in law was telling me about a message he had heard on a tape from a meeting twenty years ago. The speaker said to the group, ‘Who are you?’ Not what do you do, but Who Are You?
I am so happy to be in the right vein of thinking of the Spirit. It has been confirmed over and over again, that God is wanting us to really go on this journey of discovery. Learn to take off the masks, filters, and veils, and silence all the voices inside that lie to us continually. I believe God is removing the filters, and buffer zones of comfort to cause people to finally begin this search!
I was able to tell my Bishop immediately in five words who I was! And then he asked me, How does that look for you, and how does that manifest itself to the world? It was an amazing time, he is one of the wisest people I know. I am just so thankful that I have him in my life to help me keep growing and pushing forward.
In this present time as I see things so far concerning me; *(I say so far because the person that I am today, will soon become who I was very shortly; so a part of who I am MUST include who I’m going to be, because who I am going to be will soon be who I am!) My five descriptive words, that DESCRIBE me currently, not DEFINE me!
Mystical
Compassionate
Courageous
Peaceful
Loved
What are your five words? I would like to hear from you!!!
Grace & Peace
